Mission
The mission of the El Dorado County Child Abuse Prevention Council is to increase awareness and respect for the rights of children to be free of abuse and neglect.
The functions of the Council shall include the following:
CPC Monthly Meetings
All Meetings are in person with a Zoom option available for the public. Please email dsantana@edcoe.org to subscribe to our meeting and information emails.
Council Meetings take place five times each year. Meetings will take place from 4-5:30 p.m. A single council retreat will occur in place of a monthly meeting in May or June.
Elections for the ensuing years will occur during this annual planning retreat, with new positions taking effect in July.
The 17 member Council is comprised of
20 % Community Based Org.; Schools; Prevention & Treatment Service Providers
20% Community Representation; Community Volunteers, Civic Org., Religious Communities
20% Public Agency Representation; Child Welfare, probation, licensing, criminal justice/law enforcement, district attorney, courts, coroner
20% Health & Mental Health Providers
20% Parents & Primary Caregivers

The El Dorado Child Abuse Prevention Council (CAPC) acts as the Children’s Trust Fund Commission (CTF) in accordance with W and I code Section 18970. Pursuant to Welfare and Institution code section 18970, the following is the annual report of the Children’s Trust Fund. The CTF Report can be downloaded below.
